Drone-as-First-Responder (DFR) Program
Everett PD DFR PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Everett Police Department’s (DFR) Program is designed to enhance emergency response, improve public safety, and provide critical situational awareness to first responders. With a strong commitment to transparency, privacy protections, and community engagement, the program ensures responsible drone use that reflects public values and supports life-saving missions.

We are not using this program to proactively seek wrongdoing, conduct immigration enforcement, tracking healthcare or reproductive rights activities, constitutionally protected events, or invade privacy. DFR is used specifically to reactively respond to criminal activity and life safety issue while enhancing our ability to serve our community. To improve transparency, we use software that automatically tracks and logs all drone flights launched by our department and post them here for public review.
